Every Home for the Aged also known as “The Home”, a care institution for elderly and disabled people on the island of Saba. The Home wants to support their clients with service-centred care and services tailored to the individual needs of the client with respect, interest, enthusiasm and expertise. Preserving autonomy, identity, self-esteem and quality of life of the individual client are core concepts.
The Home offers residence to approximately 17 clients. In addition, the Home offers the Saba L.I.F.E (Love, Independence For Elders) Center. With two locations on Saba, the center is dedicated to increasing quality of life and independence for older adults in Saba through recreation, education and socialization.
Benevolent Foundation Saba and Saba Health Care Foundation (the Medical Center of Saba) are sister organizations and share the same Board of Directors and Supervisory Board. Both organizations work close together and share resources where possible.
What the job entails
As a registered Nurse you are among the primary caregivers to our clients. Together with a team of healthcare professionals you provide nursing care directly to the clients living inside ‘The Home’, coordinate daily care tasks, and explain treatment and medicine. The contact with clients, doctors and visitors make it a dynamic job.
In order to provide optimal care you utilize the nursing process within the general guidelines and predetermined client centered care of The Home.
You help ensure a pleasant and safe environment at the Home where the provision of high quality client care is central.
Who we are looking for
An experienced and licensed RN with a high sense of responsibility and integrity. Excellent communication skills, a strong customer service attitude, and the ability to empathize and build relationships with patients and healthcare professionals.
RN diploma is required, as is excellent command of written and verbal English.
What we offer
You work full time for a minimum period of one year with the possibility of extension. Taking your experience into account, we offer a competitive benefit package. You will take part in the Collective Labour Agreement, Pension Fund (PCN), collective professional liability coverage, and receive relocation assistance if applicable.
The salary is conform the salary implementation regulation of FWG Salarisstructuur Health Care Caribisch Nederland BES and has been placed in FWG scale 40.
Monthly gross min $2047 - max $2768.
